Yale's Signature Speed a Winning Formula
BRIDGEPORT — Before the Yale hockey
program had built a trademark on speed, quickness and breathless
pace, they were just considered little, if they had a trademark at
all.
But almost everything Keith Allain has done in his five years at
the wheel has been to cultivate speed and maximize quickness to the
point that size stopped being a pejorative description instead of a
team quality.
This Yale team, pound for pound, is not built much different than
many of the teams a decade ago, but when they play fast now, which
is virtually all the time, including practice, they can be
overwhelming. At least that is the formula in everything they
do.
