Yale, Air Force Ready for Rematch

BRIDGEPORT — It was one of the most
talked about non-conference games of the regular season well before
the NCAA East Regional pairings were announced.
When Air Force came back from a three-goal, third-period deficit
to stun Yale 4-3 in Colorado Springs, Colo., four months ago, it
provided enough ammunition for naysayers that the Bulldogs
didn’t belong in the discussion of national championship
contenders to last the rest of the season.
Tonight’s rematch — Yale, the top overall seed, plays
Air Force in the regional at Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard
(6:30 p.m., ESPNU) — has stoked the collective fires of both
teams.
