Panthers Recall Callahan
SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers General Manager Dale
Tallon announced today that the club has recalled
defenseman Joe Callahan, a former Yale standout, from the
Rochester Americans (AHL).
Callahan, 28, has appeared in two games with Florida this season,
averaging 14:25 minutes per game. For his career in the National
Hockey League, he has played in 21 games with Florida (2010-11),
San Jose (2009-10) and NY Islanders (2008-09) registering three
assists and four PIM.
The Brockton, Mass., native has played in 41 games with Rochester
this season scoring three goals with eight assists and 12 PIM.
Callahan was drafted by Phoenix in the third round (70th overall)
in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
