Bulldogs can Clinch NCAA's Top Seed with Win

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — The massive
tile-painted mural of a Spanish galleon navigating rough seas that
dominates the stage wall at Boardwalk Hall greeted the Yale
men’s hockey team as it took the ice for practice
Thursday.
The Bulldogs, waiting on the bench for clearance to take the ice,
spent a moment taking in the rest of the unusual surroundings at
the cavernous 81-year old arena with the intricate stain-glassed
windows and world’s largest pipe organ, which served as home
of the Miss America pageant until 2004 and seen countless concerts
from the Beatles to Pavarotti to Lady Gaga.

Just outside the arena doors, the boardwalk teemed with tourists
walking among the lavish hotels and casinos.
