Kings Agree to Terms with Meckler

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with former Yale forward David Meckler, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced.

Meckler, 24, recorded 33 points (16-1731) and 28 penalty minutes in 75 regular season games last season for the Monarchs. He also appeared in all seven playoff games for Manchester, recording two points (2-02) and zero penalty minutes while attempting 20 shots (tied for second on the team). The 5-11, 204-pound native of Highland Park, Illinois has played the last four seasons in Manchester, accumulating 118 points (64-54118) and 102 penalty minutes in 298 games. Meckler was originally selected by the Kings in the fifth round (134th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
