Blackhawks Agree to Terms with Richards
The Chicago Blackhawks announced Monday that the club has agreed to terms with former Yale goaltender Alec Richards on a two-year contract.
Richards, 23, led Rockford netminders with two shutouts and a 2.89 GAA in 44 appearances in his first full professional campaign. The Robbinsdale, Minnesota, native posted a 17-21-2 mark between the pipes for the IceHogs. He has recorded 20 wins over parts of two seasons with the IceHogs following a decorated collegiate career at Yale.
