Yale Key is Consistency

When Yale headed to upstate New York’s North Country for this weekend’s games at St. Lawrence and Clarkson, it was a pretty standard trip with one minor exception. The team stopped in Lake Placid on the way for a skate at Lake Placid’s 1980 Rink Herb Brooks Arena.
Yale’s season has gone the same way for the most part. Lots of winning has become pretty standard to the Bulldogs, with a couple of breaks in the monotony along the way. The most recent break to Yale’s winning ways was a three-game road losing streak at Brown, Union and RPI.
It’s been a very consistent campaign for the Bulldogs. That’s more difficult to sustain when you’re the target of every opponent. Yale was the preseason pick to win ECAC Hockey by both coaches and media and rose to the top of the national rankings.
