ROCKFORD — With Alexander
Salak joining the Rockford IceHogs, the team’s goaltending
situation just became more interesting for Alec Richards.
Even though Salak clearly outplayed veteran Ray Emery in preseason
with the Chicago Blackhawks, Emery was retained to back up Corey
Crawford.
Salak is not in town to back up Richards. And Richards’
mind-set is not that of a back-up.
