Bulldogs Not Hitting Panic Button
The following article appeared in the February 4 issue of the New Haven Register.
NEW HAVEN — In a season in which
Yale has stockpiled victories at a better rate than any other
men’s hockey team in the country, the Bulldogs are suddenly
presented with a problem they haven’t dealt with in some
time.
A losing streak.
Swept away on a weekend series for the first time in three years,
Yale has also lost three of its last five as well as the national
No. 1 ranking it held for eight successive weeks. The
Bulldogs’ lead in ECAC Hockey was trimmed to one point in the
process as it prepares to play host to rival Harvard (tonight at 7)
and No. 17 Dartmouth (Saturday, 7 p.m., YES) at Ingalls Rink this
weekend.
