Devils have Ice Time for Mills

ALBANY — Brad Mills spent four years at Yale. He was averaging less than seven minutes of ice time in his 21 games this season with the New Jersey Devils.
Putting that education and down time to use, Mills, 28, had plenty of time to assess the direction of his hockey career, and he wasn't stunned earlier this week when New Jersey sent him to the Albany Devils.
"It's a learning experience trying to figure out how you can play limited minutes and still be effective," Mills said Thursday after his first A-Devils practice. "The mental side is probably the most challenging, trying to remain focused and be ready to go when you're called upon."
