Trentowski to Fly with Aviators
BROOKLYN, New York – The Brooklyn Aviators, proud second year member of the Federal Hockey League, announced the signing of former Yale standout Ken Trentowski to their 2011-12 FHL roster.
Trentowski, 23, joins Brooklyn after starting the 2011-12 season with the Augusta RiverHawks of the Southern Professional Hockey League, recording two assists in two games.
“Kenny is a young blue liner that can rush the puck for us,” said Aviators head coach and team president, Rob Miller. “I saw him play for Augusta earlier in the season, and knew that he can compete at this level. He adds depth to our d-core.”
The Ronkonkoma, NY native, and two-time ECAC Hockey champion, wrapped up his four-year career with Yale this past season. Trentowski finished his collegiate tenure with two goals and 13 assists for 15 points in 93 career games for the Bulldogs (2007-11).
