Arcobello Earns NHL Contract
EDMONTON -- General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the
Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with right-winger Mark
Arcobello, a former Yale standout, on a two-year entry level
contract.
Arcobello, 22, started the season with the Stockton Thunder in the
East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) appearing in 33 games with 20
points (7G,13A). He was called up to the Oklahoma City Barons in
the American Hockey League (AHL) and has played in 21 games
collecting 16 points (9G,7A).
The 5’10”, 185-pound Milford, CT native attended Yale
University for the past four years appearing in 131 games recording
116 points (49G,67A).
Arcobello, who majored in political science, led the team in
scoring in 2008-09 and was named to the First Team All-New England,
All-ECAC and All-Ivy.
