Expectations Only Growing for Yale

WORCESTER, Mass. — As we weigh a second consecutive
outstanding season for the Yale hockey program, the bows and
applause are a little more subdued this time around ... and the bar
of expectation is a little more severe.
That’s a direct result of the culture change that has
occurred under the watch of coach Keith Allain, who arrived at Yale
four years ago on the platform that he would bring excellence back
to Yale hockey ... and then sustain it.
Last year’s ECAC championship — and first trip to the
NCAA tournament in 11 years — was a comet, wild and fresh and
exciting, a season where expectations were met and surpassed, and
Yale skipped into the offseason feeling grand, even after a
first-round NCAA exit in Bridgeport.
