Yale Gets Thrown a Curve
NEW HAVEN — It’s never easy to anticipate the thought process of a tournament selection committee, but most experts agreed the path for the Yale men’s hockey team at the NCAA tournament was cut-and-dried.
The general consensus was Yale would be a No. 3 seed and face
No. 2 seed Bemidji State at the Midwest Regional in Fort Wayne,
Ind. It seemed such a foregone conclusion that the Bulldogs
coaching staff had already exchanged game film with Bemidji’s
coaches.
Not so fast.
