Richards Returns to AHL
ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks announced on Tuesday
that former Yale goaltender Alec Richards has been reassigned by
the Blackhawks from the Toledo Walleye (ECHL) to the Rockford
IceHogs (AHL).
Richards is currently playing in his rookie season and has earned
his fourth recall to Rockford in ’09-10. The Robbinsdale,
Minn. native has played in six games with the IceHogs and carries a
record of 3-2-0-0 with and .895 SPCT and a 3.12 GAA.
In 31 games with the Walleye, Richards is 16-11-4 with an .894
SPCT and a 3.43 GAA. Prior to turning pro, Richards spent the
previous four years at Yale University and is the Bulldogs all-time
shutouts leader with six.
