Kearney Earns National Honor

The following article featuring Yale forward Denny Kearney appeared November 1 on the Inside College Hockey (INCH) Web site.

If it seemed like there was a little more to follow in the college hockey world this past weekend, you're right—the Ivies (sans Harvard) finally got seasons underway. It's no coincidence, then, that the hockey-playing members of the Ancient Eight are part of this week's INCH First Shift. Prominently featured is Yale senior forward Denny Kearney (pictured, right), who had a huge weekend in the Bulldogs' season-opening wins over Brown and Dartmouth in the Ivy Shootout, earning INCH National Player of the Week honors in the process.

DENNY KEARNEY
Yale
Sr. | F | Hanover, N.H.

His Statistics: 2 GP, 4-4–8, GWG, plus-7 rating

His Impact: Everyone in the country, with possibly the exception of Miami’s Carter Camper, has to be impressed with Kearney’s eight-point weekend to start Yale’s regular season. He had a three-goal, one-assist night in the season-opener for the Bulldogs against Brown and then popped in another goal and added three assists against Dartmouth.
