Dignard Begins Professional Career in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The Albany River Rats announced today that Yale defenseman Thomas Dignard has been signed to an Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO).

Dignard, 22, recently completed his senior season at Yale University, and led all Bulldogs defensemen in scoring with six goals and 21 assists for 27 points in 29 games. The Reading, MA., native totaled 19 goals and 57 assists for 76 points during his four year, 115 game NCAA career. In his Junior season, Dignard (5’11”, 188 lbs.) was selected to the Second-team All-ECAC and the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team, while also receiving honorable mention on the All-Ivy team and being an ECAC Hockey Student-Athlete of Year Finalist.
