Bulldogs' Trio Make All-League Team

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Sean Backman, Broc Little and Tom Dignard, three key members of a Yale men's hockey team that just won a second straight conference regular season championship, were all selected to the 2009-10 All-ECAC Hockey Team announced today.

Backman and Little were first-team selections, while Dignard was picked for the second team.

Backman, a senior forward, has 21 goals and 38 points this year after hitting the net twice and notching three points last weekend. He is fourth in Division I hockey with .72 goals per game. He was a second-team ECAC pick last year.

Little, a third-team pick in 2008-09, is a junior forward who shares the Division I lead for goals (25) with two other players. He has the country's best (.86) goals-per-game average, while he has 38 points and also shares the national lead with seven game-winning goals.

Backman and Little are included in the online ballot for the 2010 Hobey Baker Award. Backman is also a finalist for the 2010 Frozen Four Skills Competition.

Dignard, a senior blueliner, has five goals and 22 points and is fourth in Division among defensemen in points per game. He was second-team All-ECAC last year.
