Bulldogs' Trio Make All-League Team
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Sean Backman, Broc Little and Tom Dignard, three
key members of a Yale men's hockey team that just won a second
straight conference regular season championship, were all selected
to the 2009-10 All-ECAC Hockey Team announced today.
Backman and Little were first-team selections, while Dignard was
picked for the second team.
Backman, a senior forward, has 21 goals and 38 points this year
after hitting the net twice and notching three points last weekend.
He is fourth in Division I hockey with .72 goals per game. He was a
second-team ECAC pick last year.
Little, a third-team pick in 2008-09, is a junior forward who
shares the Division I lead for goals (25) with two other players.
He has the country's best (.86) goals-per-game average, while he
has 38 points and also shares the national lead with seven
game-winning goals.
Backman and Little are included in the online ballot for the 2010
Hobey Baker Award. Backman is also a finalist for the 2010 Frozen
Four Skills Competition.
Dignard, a senior blueliner, has five goals and 22 points and is
fourth in Division among defensemen in points per game. He was
second-team All-ECAC last year.
