Yale Seniors in a Class of Their Own

NEW HAVEN — The five graduating seniors on the Yale
men’s hockey team will be remembered as the group that
provided the foundation of the program’s return to national
prominence.
Defensemen Ryan Donald and Tom Dignard, forwards Sean Backman and
Mark Arcobello and goalie Billy Blase were recruited by then-coach
Tim Taylor, but they arrived on campus to play for a new coach
ready to change a team culture that had grown accustomed to
mediocrity.
One of Keith Allain’s top priorities was to instill the
mentality that losing wasn’t acceptable.
