In looking for a trend within Yale’s season thus far,
it’s that the tests have gotten progressively tougher. One
thing hasn’t changed throughout the last three months, and
that’s that the Bulldogs are passing almost all of the tests
that they are faced with.
You need to look no further than last weekend. The Bulldogs faced
their toughest game and toughest opponent of the season when they
went to Cornell’s Lynah Rink and came away with a 4-2 win. It
wasn’t easy.
During a stretch in the middle of the second period with Yale leading 2-1, a shot from Yale defenseman Thomas Dignard slid slowly toward Cornell goalie Ben Scrivens, who misplayed the puck as he reached to cover it. An official blew the whistle to end the play even though the puck slid under Scrivens’ glove and over the goal line just after the whistle sounded.
