BRIDGEPORT — One of Keith Allain’s first tasks after
being named Yale head coach in 2006 was to change the culture
inside the locker room. Prior to his arrival, players were a little
too comfortable with losing for his liking.
Allain changed that attitude in a hurry. Success was quick to
follow. Just three years later, Yale takes to the ice tonight in
the NCAA East Regional at the Arena at Harbor Yard with a national
championship on its mind.
The Bulldogs (24-7-2), seeded second in the regional and ranked
fifth in both national polls, play Vermont (20-11-5) at 6:30 p.m.
Top-seed Michigan plays No. 4 Air Force in the first game at 3 p.m.
