Bulldogs Have Magic Touch
The following article appeared January 26 on the New England Hockey Journal Web site.

Usually, when a coach pulls his goaltender with 12 minutes left in
the third period and his team trailing 4-0, it ends badly …
opposing team scores a few more goals, coach is fired the next day,
coach laments decision to pull goalie with 12 minutes to play.
But when Yale’s Keith Allain did the same thing in
Saturday’s 5-4 win over Colgate, it worked. That’s the
kind of streak the Bulldogs are on these days.
Since losing back-to-back games to Union and Nebraska-Omaha in
December, Yale is 6-1-1, and has vaulted into second place in the
standings, behind Cornell but ahead of Princeton, the preseason
favorite.
