Rockford Returns Turner to Gwinnett

ROCKFORD, Ill. -- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Sunday that the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League have returned former Yale defenseman Brennan Turner on loan to the ECHL’s Gwinnett Gladiators.

Turner, 22, was recalled from Gwinnett on Tuesday and played in one game with Rockford. In his 2008-09 IceHogs debut, the Winnipeg native marked his first career AHL assist against the Iowa Chops that night. Chicago’s fifth round pick (#134 overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft has played five career games with Rockford including four last spring after his junior season at Yale University.

Prior to getting recalled to Rockford, Turner split time between Gwinnett and Fresno as well. The blue-liner has three helpers with the Gladiators in eight games and potted two goals and two assists in 29 contests with the Falcons.
