With Little, Yale Rarely Caught Short

Talented offensive players crave the power play. With one less skater on the ice, there’s more room to operate and to show off their arsenal of moves.

Yale sophomore forward Broc Little isn’t an exception to that idea. But he prefers his opponent to be on the power play, and the Bulldogs to be shorthanded.

“As soon as we get a penalty, I think that I can score,” said Little, who leads Division 1 this season with five shorthanded goals. “As soon as we get the puck (in the shorthanded situation), I break the other way. I have the freedom to do that.”
