Yale forward Sean Backman is not the model ECAC Hockey player. But
he could have been.
No joke. A modeling agent approached him after a game during his
freshman year and gave him her card. But he declined to follow
up.
“I had too much going on in my life to be modeling,”
said Backman, who earned ECAC Hockey Co-Rookie of the Year and Ivy
League Rookie of the Year honors while leading Yale in scoring and
power-play goals, falling one tally short of the school’s
freshman record that season.
