Expectations for Yale were modest heading into the season. Those
who follow the ECAC closest — the league’s coaches and
media — both picked the Bulldogs to finish seventh in the
preseason polls.
Yale’s players and coaches, knowing what they were capable
of, didn’t care about the lack of hype. Good thing. With two
weeks still remaining in the regular season, the race for the
Cleary Cup is just about over. Yale can wrap up its first
regular-season league title in 11 years and only the second in
program history this weekend.

College Hockey Online/CBS College Sports polls released Monday, can
clinch with one more victory in their final four games, coupled
with one more loss by second-place Princeton.
