Higgins' Goal: Light Lamp for Rangers

His teammates had long been off the ice Tuesday when Christopher
Higgins was still out there with a bucket of pucks, shooting them
one after another into an unguarded net. Maybe it was just to
remind himself that the goal hasn't shrunk.
Six games into his tenure as a Ranger, Higgins is still pressing
for that elusive first goal. He is stuck on a pair of assists even
through a steady stream of scoring chances, and even as Higgins has
shown some impressive defensive chops that have him fitting right
in with linemates Chris Drury and Ryan Callahan. "He's done
everything for this hockey team except score a goal," John
Tortorella said.
And that's the aggravating part for the 26-year-old winger, and
the reason he's on the ice long after practice is over.
