NEW HAVEN — The opponent is unexpected, but the game plan
remains unchanged.
Yale, the ECAC Hockey regular season champion, views Brown as a
dangerous foe for the best-of-3 quarterfinal series that begins
tonight at Ingalls Rink. That Brown won only three of its 29
regular season games and pulled off perhaps the biggest upset in
league playoff history to advance means little to the Bulldogs.
“It might have been surprising to some, but we know that in
this league, anything can happen,” said Yale captain Matt
Nelson after practice Thursday. “Brown is a good team, and we
have to be sure we play our style.”
