Utah Acquires Brooks

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and
Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that the
team has acquired forward Peder Skinner from the Reading Royals and
former Yale defenseman Chris Brooks from the Mississippi Sea Wolves
in exchange for forward Evan Kotsopoulos who goes to the Sea
Wolves.
“Trading a person like Evan was not easy,” said
Colley. “His work on the ice and in the community is all you
can ask for as a coach. However, given the opportunity to add two
players the caliber of Peder and Chris for our stretch run; a tough
decision had to be made.”
Brooks played 57 games this year with Augusta and Mississippi
totaling two goals and nine assists for 87 penalty minutes. He
played with Wheeling in the ECHL from 2006-2008.
