Callahan Sent Back to Worcester
SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice
President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the
club has reassigned former Yale defenseman Joe Callahan to the
Worcester Sharks, the Sharks development affiliate in the American
Hockey League.
He appeared in one game with San Jose, assisting on Logan
Couture’s goal on Nov. 5 at Detroit.
Callahan, 27, is tied for second in scoring among Worcester
defensemen with five points (0-5=5) in ten games, along with eight
penalty minutes and a +2 rating.
The six-foot-three, 220-pound native of Brockton, Massachusetts
was originally selected by Phoenix in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft (3rd
round, 70th overall) following three seasons with Yale University
(ECAC).
