Bauman Re-Signs with Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City -– The Oklahoma City Blazers of the Central
Hockey League signed former Yale defenseman Stacey Bauman, head
coach Doug Sauter announced today.
Bauman, a 6-1, 187-pound native of Hanover, Ontario, is entering
his sixth full season as a pro, his second in Oklahoma City. Last
season with the Blazers, he played in 62 games, scoring 16 points
(1-15-16), while serving 58 penalty minutes. In 278 games as a pro,
the 28-year old Bauman has played in 278 games, recording 88 points
(18-70-88) and serving 285 penalty minutes.
Perhaps his biggest accomplishment came for his work and
dedication off the ice. Bauman was named the CHL Man of the Year
for his commitment to helping others in the Oklahoma City area and
beyond.
“Bauman is a terrific person and a great defenseman," said
Sauter. "Now that he has one year under his belt with the Blazers
and knows how we play, I believe he will excel next season.”
