
Turner Signs with Rockford
ROCKFORD, IL -- Rockford IceHogs General Manager of Hockey
Operations Al MacIsaac announced that the American Hockey League
club has signed Yale defenseman Brennan Turner to an Amateur Try
Out contract.
Turner was the Chicago Blackhawks fifth round selection (#134
overall) in the 2005 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
Turner recently completed his junior season at Yale
University. Over the past three seasons, the 6'-3" defenseman
appeared in 58 games for the Bulldogs.
The Winnipeg, Manitoba native becomes the sixth player from
Chicago's 2005 draft to sign and skate in Rockford this season.
Jack Skille (round one), Mike Blunden (round two), Evan Brophey
(round three), Niklas Hjalmarsson (round four) and Adam Hobson
(seventh round) are the others.
