SCHENECTADY — If the old saying that you are only as good as your last game is true, the Union College hockey team has some work to do.
Taking a four-game winning streak into a road contest at Brown University last Saturday, 14th-ranked Union (13-6-6, 7-3-3) jumped to a 2-0 first period lead before dropping a 3-2 decision the Bears, Union's second loss of the season to Brown.
Failing to protect leads has been an issue for the Dutchmen since the season opener and the Brown loss lingered early this week as Union readied itself for an important four-game home stand, beginning tonight against Clarkson.
