Caffaro Heads to Europe
Lane Caffaro, a former Union standout, has joined the Hannover Indians (Germany), agreeing to terms for the remainder of the 2010-11 season, the team announced Monday. Caffaro heads to Europe having spent the 2010-11 campaign with Idaho and Ontario of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).
The 26-year-old defenseman appeared in 38 games this
season -- 36 with Ontario -- recording six goals and 11 assists
with the Reign.
Caffaro has played in 25 AHL games and 68 ECHL games in his pro
career, beginning with a four-game stint in 2008-09 with the AHL's
Wilkes-Barre Penguins following his four-year career at Union.
