SCHENECTADY— Union College men's hockey head
coach Rick Bennett and his staff assembled one of the most
aggressive non-league road schedules in NCAA Division I hockey this
season. Bennett, in his first season as head coach, scheduled
powerhouses like Michigan, Merrimack, Denver and Colorado
College.
"It never gets old, you've got to love playing those top teams
like that," senior winger Kelly Zajac said. "It’s what
you’re a hockey player for, it’s why you like to play
the game and that's what I enjoy about this."
"It definitely doesn't get old," high-scoring sophomore Daniel
Carr said. "We know this weekend is huge, it’s huge for us in
the national rankings and to get into the tournament. The last
couple years we've kind of gotten used to it, we've just got to be
ready to play," Carr added.
