Binghamton Releases Matheson from ATO
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that they have released Union defenseman Brock Matheson from his amateur try-out contract.
Matheson, 23, recently completed his fourth season at Union College where he served as the team's co-captain. In 40 games this season, Matheson posted a career-high 10 points on three goals and seven assists. In four years with the Dutchmen he scored nine goals, 15 assists and recorded 123 penalty minutes in 141 games.
The Gananoque, Ont. native appeared in two regular season games with the B-Sens this season, recording no points and amassing two penalty minutes.
