Brahmas Sign Fox
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas -- In efforts to enhance the offense, the Texas Brahmas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced the signing of former Union forward T.J. Fox for the 2011-12 campaign.
Fox has spent three seasons time in the American Hockey League (AHL) as he was a member for the Worchester Sharks (2007-2009) and skated for the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins (2009-2010). In 154 games, he accumulated 42 points (19 G, 23 A) and 48 PIM. In his second season with the Sharks, Fox contributed three goals in their nine-game postseason run. Last season, Fox played 47 games overseas in Germany with the Hannover Indians, posting 31 points (14 G, 17 A) and 69 PIM.
Prior to playing professionally, the Oswego, NY native attended Union and played for the Dutchmen for two seasons. In 66 contests, Fox was just short of averaging a point a game as he netted 21 goals and 36 assists.
Fox, 27, began his career with five seasons in juniors with the OPJHL and USHL. Among the Syracuse Jr. Crunch, Green Bay Gamblers and Chicago Steel, the 6-foot-one forward had 137 points (65 G, 72 A) in 242 games.
Brahmas Head Coach, Dan Wildfong, a former Colgate standout, is excited about his newest announced signing.
"T.J. will bring great offensive depth for us and will undoubtedly be a great addition on the roster," said Wildfong.
