SCHENECTADY -- Following a practice earlier this week, defenseman Mat Bodie pulled off his Union men's hockey jersey and put on his New York Islanders sweatshirt.
That's right, the Islanders.
"I used to like Ryan Smyth, and he went there one year and they made the playoffs," explained Bodie, a freshman from Manitoba. "I guess I became sort of a fan."
