NASHVILLE -- It was a long trip for goalie Keith Kinkaid just to sit on the Devils' bench.
The rookie posted his first pro victory for Albany (AHL) Friday night and then drove to Newark after the game. He took a 10 a.m. flight to Nashville to dress as Johan Hedberg's backup whenMartin Brodeur was unable to play because of a shoulder injury.
"It's still exciting to be part of the team," Kinkaid said. "Just sitting on the bench. Best seat in the house."
