Union Looks for Silver Lining

There are many similarities in the ways the Colgate hockey team ousted RPI and then Union from the ECAC Hockey playoffs, but there is a big difference in what it means to the immediate future of both programs.
Bottom line: Union can move on, RPI probably can't.
The top-seeded Dutchmen, ranked No. 9 in the latest USCHO.com national poll, were toppled by last-place Colgate on Sunday, with a 4-3 overtime loss in the decisive game of the best-of-3 quarterfinal series.
