Union to be Showcased on Fox College Sports Atlantic
SCHENECTADY, NY – The men's ice hockey game between No.
11/12 Union College and No. 5/5 Merrimack on Saturday has been
picked up nationally on Fox College Sports Atlantic, in a telecast
set to begin at 4 p.m.
Union hockey fans in the Capital Region can find Saturday's game on
Channel 670 on Time Warner Cable and Channel 300 on Verizon Fios.
Across the country, Saturday's game can be found on either Channel
617 or 623 on DirecTV. The exact channel will be announced later
this week by Fox. Fans should log on to www.foxcollegesports.com<http://www.foxcollegesports.com/>
and select the "Check for Availability" logo.
In the Boston area, fans can find the game televised on WBIN on
Channel 18 (811 in HD) on Comcast, Channel 6 (506 in HD) on Verizon
Fios and 50 on DirecTV. The Fox Sports Atlantic broadcast will also
be available in the Boston area on Channel 263 on Comcast and
Channel 300 on Verizon Fios.
Fox College Sports will also rebroadcast Saturday's game on Sunday
at 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. eastern time on Fox College Sports
Atlantic.
Union (8-3-5, 3-2-2 ECAC Hockey) is coming off a 5-2 non-conference
win over Rensselaer in the Festivus Faceoff at Herb Brooks Arena in
Lake Placid, NY. The Dutchmen are (3-0-2) in their last five
contests, matching their longest unbeaten streak of the season.
Junior forward Jeremy Welsh (Bayfield, Ontario) leads the Dutchmen
with 17 points (12 goals, five assists) and has nine points (six
goals, three assists) in the past five games.
Saturday's game will be the first nationally-televised game and the
first HD game ever from Lawler Arena.
