Brothers Join Forces on the Union Ice

SCHENECTADY -- Growing up in East St. Paul, Manitoba, Kyle and Mat Bodie were just far enough apart in age that they never played on the same hockey team.
But they did go head-to-head just about every winter afternoon, gliding around the rink their father, Ron, built in the family's backyard.
Using a sponge puck and pretending to be their favorite players -- Kyle was Scott Neidermayer, Mat was Joe Sakic -- they played into the night, silhouettes in the floodlights their father also had installed.
