TROY — New head coach, totally untested goaltenders, the rest of the ECAC Hockey league taking aim at them like never before; all those factors don’t worry the Union College Dutchmen much at all.

Former assistant coach Rick Bennett takes over the head role from Nate Leaman one year after the Dutchmen won the ECACH title for the first time in their 19-year history, topping the loop with a 17-3-2 record.

Union didn’t win the league’s playoff championship and the automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament that goes with it but did receive an at-large bid and finished their season with a 26-10-4 record.
