Beynon Bound for France

Former Union defenseman Michael Beynon has signed a contract for the 2010-11 season with Gap of Ligue Magnus (France), it was announced Tuesday. Beynon spent the 2009-10 campaign with the Edinburgh Capitals of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL).
Beynon participated in 20 games with the Capitals this past season, scoring two goals and assisting on four goals. One of Beynon's two goals came via the power play.
In 2008-09 as a member of the New Mexico Scorpions of the
Central Hockey League (CHL), Beynon registered 18 points--six goals
and 12 assists--in 48 games. Beynon also played 6 games for the Las
Vegas Wranglers in the East Coast Hockey League.
Beynon spent four campaigns (2004-08) with the Dutchmen, competing
in 141 contests. The Nepean, Ontario native scored seven goals and
added 33 assists.
