Valery-Trabucco to Make Professional Debut with Adirondack
GLEN FALLS, NY -- A week after leading the
16th-ranked Union College men's ice hockey team to the ECAC Hockey
Championship, senior Mario Valery-Trabucco has signed with the
Adirondack Phantoms, the AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers.
Trabucco will likely make his professional debut this weekend at
Hartford on Friday, Mar. 26 or at Manchester on Saturday, Mar.
27.
The Montreal, Quebec native set a school record with 45 points and
23 goals this past season. His 59 career goals ranks first all-time
on Union's Division I list and his 114 points are tied for second
all-time.
Trabucco, who finished first in the Hobey Baker fan voting with
more than 20,000 votes, was a three time ECAC Hockey Player of the
Week and the InsideCollegeHockey.com's National Player of the Week
on Feb. 9. Trabucco was a Second Team All-ECAC Hockey
selection.
The Phantoms are 31-35-3-3 in 72 games this season and are
currently sixth in the East Division of the Eastern Conference.
