GLENS FALLS -- After practice Thursday morning, Mario Valery-Trabucco trudged the long path down a Civic Center hallway to the auxiliary visitor’s locker room. That small room has been home this week for the newest Adirondack Phantoms forward.
The goal for the Union product over the next two weeks is to prove that next year he belongs in the big room, whether it’s with the Phantoms or some other American Hockey League team.
“I was hoping for something like this; expecting, no, I can’t really say,” Valery-Trabucco said. “But I’m happy to be here. It’s a good opportunity to get to know the guys and see how it works around here.”
