ALBANY, NY – The 15th-ranked and third-seeded Union College men’s ice hockey team used its program-best 20th win of the season to put it into the ECAC Hockey semifinals. The Albany Times Union Center will be the host for the eighth and final season and second-seeded Cornell plays 11th-seeded Brown in the other semifinal matchup at 4 p.m.

Friday’s games and Saturday’s championship matchup can be seen on the NHL Network and Fox College Sports – check your local listings.
Since the ECAC Hockey Championship moved to Albany’s Times Union Center, no Capital Region school has made it to the semifinal round until this year. The Dutchmen are familiar with the building, having played in the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Governor’s Cup. Last season they defeated Colgate, 4-2, on Oct. 25 in the championship game to claim their first tournament victory since the 1993-94 season.
