Christiansen Concludes Time with Edinburgh

The following article featuring former Union standout Doug Christiansen appeared April 17 on the Edinburgh Capitals Web site.

After three years with the Edinburgh Capitals Doug Christiansen has decided that it is now time to move on from his player and coaching role and expand his career with another organisation.

Doug made a valuable contribution to the team over the last three years with improvements being made each year and 09/10 saw the Capitals end their season with their best ever finish.

The Capitals wish Doug Christiansen all the best in his role and future endeavouts and are thankful for all the hard work that he put in over the past three season.

Scott Neil, Edinburgh Capitals General Manager, commented, "It is a shame to see Doug go after all that he has done for us but I am sure that he will approach his new role with the same flair and enthusiasm that he did when he first signed with the Edinburgh Capitals."

Scott Neil will be holding a Fans Forum on Sunday 18th April and will be outlining his plans for the 10/11 season along with addressing his intentions for the coaching role.
