Sicinski Moves to Regensburg
John Sicinski, a standout at Union in the mid-1990s, has joined EV Regensburg (Germany) for the 2010-11 season.
In joining Regensburg, Sicinski
will be competing on his seventh German squad. The native of Mississauga, Ontario, has spent 11 of the past 12 seasons
competing in Germany. Sicinski played for Corpus Christi of the
Central Hockey League (CHL) in 2002-03. During his time in Germany,
Sicinski has appeared in 504 games, scoring 306 goals and racking
up 475 assists.
In 2009-10, Sicinski compiled 26 goals and 27 assists in 40 regular-season contests with Passau. He also contributed three goals and two assists in five playoff games.
Prior to representing Passau,
Sicinski spent three seasons with Deggendorf. He amassed 249
points, including 88 goals, in 138 regular-season contests. His top
offensive campaign came in 2008-09 as he scored 29 goals and set up
81 tallies in 56 regular-season games. In 13 playoff games with
Deggendorf, Sicinski tallied 10 goals and 10 assists.
As a member of the Dutchmen,
Sicinski scored 40 goals in 113 collegiate contests. He also added
37 assists. Sicinski's most productive offensive season was as a
senior in 1996-97 as he scored 17 times and set up 15 goals in 34
games.
