SCHENECTADY -- Of course, Nate Leaman, the Union College hockey
coach, gets paid for what he does. The equipment manager for the
Dutchmen pulls a check for his services, too. The Zamboni driver?
Pay the man.
No one works for free anymore, right?
Not quite. In the Union hockey family, there is a member of the
coaching staff who doesn't get a dime. Meet Jason Tapp, a
32-year-old former goaltender who works for nothing as a volunteer
assistant coach.
